REVIEW & SWATCHES- "LORAC Pro 2"

Hello my Lovelies!!
Today i am here with the star brand among all the high end brands, presenting "LORAC PRO 2"! The more i say less it is about this brand.  Well i just love LORAC Cosmetic's palettes from the core of my heart. I am sure everyone knows about this brand or have heard lot about its PRO palettes. Hope you girls like it and find it informative before you actually invest in this palette.


The purpose of doing a very detailed review on this is that its no joke to buy a high end product and end up not liking it or getting results that are not worth the price tag we paid. Above all we don't buy high end brands every other day so isn't it better to invest wisely?
Let's start with the details:

BRAND- LORAC COSMETICS

PRICE-
It retails for $42. Here it is sold for RS 5500/-. If you get it on sale then its great as then it retails for less than RS 5500/-. LORAC usually have 20% off sale on its products from time to time.

PACKAGING-
 Its a sleek palette which has a magnetic closing that is the moment you leave the top side of the palette it will close due to the magnetic attraction. I personally think you need to keep  it in a compact bag/purse section as it can open up when left all loose in the bag/purse while travelling (due to its magnetic closing).  It comes with 16 shadows. It also has a mini primer with it which is called "Behind the scenes". It comes with a decent size of a mirror which is a plus when doing your makeup.

PRODUCT-
Total weight of this palette is 8.8g, which i think is justified when it is compared with its performance and results. It has 16 eyeshadows inside, 8 matte and 8 shimmer.

COLOURS-
This palette is surely for cool toned lovers and have amazing transition colours.

MATTE ONES (TOP ROW):

BUFF- More of a yellowish vanilla in the pan but in swatch its towards a matte white with pink undertone.

LT.BROWN- Skin brown shade more towards natural tan.

COOL GREY- Light grey with hint of violet in it.

NECTAR- More towards peachy side in the pan, in swatch its light violet with hint of purplish pink in it.

PLUM- Its a beautiful purple more towards medium purple.

NAVY- Real beauty! a vibrant blue. Not too dark as its name.

CHARCOAL- Light ash grey shade.

BLACK- Typical black with hint of grey in it. Not a true black as in the pan.

SHIMMER ONES (BOTTOM ROW):

SNOW- Milky white.

BEIGE- Less white more towards nudish white.

ROSE- A beautiful peachy copper with a slight hint of golden in it.

MOCHA- A light copper-brown shade.

CHROME- Light greyish silver.

SILVER- Moon light silver.

JADE- A beautiful army green. My favourite one.

COCOA- A dark brown with gold shimmer in it. Great colour for warming up the outer V of the eye.




PIGMENTATION-
Its intense girl. The lighter shades are also decently pigmented. The darker ones are a BOMB. You just can't go wrong with LORAC's PRO palettes pigmentation.

FIRST ROW(Sequence): Left to Right

BOTTOM ROW(Sequence): Left to Right

APPLICATION-
Well be light handed when it comes to darker shades as they are highly pigmented and one can end up applying way too much. Slowly build the colour and work your way towards the desired results.
Blending isn't an issue as these shades are so soft and buttery that you will fall in love with them. Using a primer underneath will only make them last longer and avoid creasing. One does not need to apply primer solely for the colours to show up.

This is from the permanent collection and you can find it very easily.

PROS of the Product:

- Amazing Pigmentation.

- Easy blending.

- You love cool tone shades.

- You want a versatile palette.

- You want a mixture of good performing matte and shimmer shades.

- Its from the permanent line.

- You get a mini primer with it.

- It comes with a decent size of a mirror.

CONS of the Product:

- Its really expensive.

- Its not locally available.

- You are into more warm/neutral tone shades.

- You are looking for either more shimmering or matte shades rather than a mixture of both.

Final Thoughts...

Well if you are on a budget this is not your cup of tea at all. I agree its expensive but its worth every penny you pay for it. If you are a professional or intermediary you will fall in love with it to every bits and pieces. You won't be disappointed if you invest in it as this palette is very versatile when it comes to the shades given in this palette. You can create different looks from this palette ranging from all day to night looks. If you really want to invest in a good high end brand which will last you long and won't be a disappointment so this is your pick! If you are more of a warm/ neutral shades lover so this won't please you as far as colour selection is concerned.
