REVIEW & SWATCHES- BH Cosmetics "SPECIAL OCCASIONS PALETTE"

Hello my Lovelies!!
A year back or 1.5 i purchased this palette. Its that kind of palette which if performs good so its best for travelling. Above all best for those who don't want to spend much but at the same time want variety in their collection. If it fails to provide quality so just another product lying around and we regretting why we bought it initially right ?? So keep on reading to find out what do i have to say about my experience with this palette and is it worth buying or not ?

Well if you ask my personal preference so i'll prefer going with the palette which isn't just an  eyeshadow palette but has either lip or face products too. 

BH cosmetics is a budget friendly brand but at the same time provide its users with decent quality products. Not all of its products are hits or a miss, you'll find a combo. Initially when i bought this palette i was like its a very cheaply priced product its quality might be not as normal drugstore products or decent enough to make my purchase worthwhile. 

Anyway i used this palette for the first time on my brother's grand school graduating dinner which was in "AUGUST 2014". Oh boy i must say was i blown away by its performance or what !!! 

Ok let me start with details now :

Well this palette comes with 30 eyeshadows and 6 blushes, 2 bronzing shades and 1 highlighter.

Just look how beautiful the shades are in this palette. AAAAH *LOVE THEM*!!

If we talk particularly about the all 30 eyeshadows so it has a combination of mattes and shimmers both. Some have amazing soft buttery texture others are more towards chalky side or give a feel of typical old school eyeshadow to it. Anyhow many eyeshadows in this palette are highly pigmented so watch out for fallout especially with blacks and blues. As far as lasting power is concerned so its pretty nice and decent over a good primer but if you want that specific high end brand finish to it so folks this won't be your pick. They don't have any specific smell to them. Colour selection is very universal that is you can create tons of different looks from this palette which is again a bargain i think. For fallout try applying your foundation after you are done with your eye makeup. Blending is not an issue but won't blend without little efforts.

Lets move onto blushes section now:

It has 6 blushes, 2 bronzing shade(among which the shimmering one can be used by light/fair skin tones for adding sun kissed glow to their face) and one semi-matte highlighter(reason is that in light it has a shine to it but in pan it appears matte). It has 4 matte blushes and 2 with shimmers in them. While as for the bronzing shades you will get one matte bronzer(which you can use for natural contouring too). Lasting power is ordinary so you will need to apply it after few hours as in 3-4 hours depending upon your skin type mainly. You won't notice any smell lingering on them. Just be light handed with it as pigmentation is good.

FINAL THOUGHTS.....

Umm i would say its a great versatile palette for someone who loves trying out new brands or don't want to travel with tons of makeup. Its even best for people who like to maintain their budgets but at the same time want to build their stash/collection. Some eyeshadows are no doubt chalky but i guess one can get hang of it if applied with their ring finger or wet maybe(i have personally never used them wet so just a suggestion as such shades tend to perform better when wet). I guess with few chalky shades its fine when compared with the other variety this palettes provides. If you are a high end or medium to high end brand user so this is not your cup of tea like not at all reason being its less performing when compared with high end products. Oh try getting it on sale as then its really cheap than its original price. I got mine at sale too. I don't remember from which page i got mine from *my apologies* but the pages listed down below will provide you with the best prices. This palette is great for beginners.

Other than that i don't see as such problems with this palette. I personally love this palette and i will recommend it to someone who is a beginner or an intermediary or who is on budget but want to try variety of things altogether.

- Many looks can be created

CONS of the palette:

-Some shades are chalky

-You may experience fallout with darker shades

- Not as performing as typical medium to high end brands
