"Lip Shades for Summer- DAYTIME APPROPRIATE "

My my summers is here and yet another struggle starts with this season. Sizzling hot temperature melts everything around so a face with makeup on is nothing. Every season has its own fun and problems but some love them and some dont. Summer when is a great season for dry skin owners it is at the same time the most challenging one for the oily skin. One thing that does not bother both skin type are the lips. Other than winters none face problems with lips as such.  Today i am just going to tell my preferences for summer daytime lip shades in various brands. These in my point of view are best for summers and tend to compliment many skin tones and above all they are no doubt trendy shades to wear. I have already done a post on latest summer trends right HERE so help yourself by checking that out. Without any further delay lets get right into the details:

Revlon Colour Burst- Matte Lip Balms:

These may not be everyone's cup of tea. The ones who love matte lips will definitely go for them. I'll suggest one using a lip balm underneath for smooth application and appearance after applied. All have minty scent to them. These aren't moisturising or hydrating as they are matte.

The shades i have for the summer daytime wear are:

1) Audacious- A bright orange colour but less brighter than a neon orange. It applies little patchy so you need to apply it properly with more than 2 coats. Its highly pigmented no doubt. Application isn't sheer at all. Only issue is patchy application so that's why more than 2 coats are needed.

2) Elusive- Its a soft light rosy shade. It tends to compliment light to medium skin tones more. Application isn't patchy or sheer at all.  Apply lip balm underneath for smooth application.

3) Unapologetic- Its a bright fuchsia pink but not too deep. Its a soft daily wear shade. It will compliment quite many skin tones. Might not be for very dark skin tones. Application isn't sheer or patchy. Highly pigmented. Apply lip balm underneath for  smooth application.

Jordana - Twist & Shine Moisturising Balm Stains:

Oh boy i love these. These are so cheaply priced and great in quality. These are hydrating and moisturising at the same time. The shade i have for summer daytime is:

1) Candied Coral- Its a sheer coral shade with strong hint of pink. Its more of my lips but better shade for me. Its so smooth and applies evenly. Its no doubt sheer in application. It surely stains lips for me. You need to apply quiet few coats for the colour to show up. Its basically for those who want a hint of colour on their lips instead of full fledged colour on their lips.

Revlon Lip Butters: 

I have already reviewed them HERE. These arent my favourite but no doubt these have amazing colour selection to choose from. The one i have for you today is:

1) Tutti Frutti: Its a light orange colour. Application is little better when compared to a sheer application. 

Wet and Wild Mega Last Lipsticks:

These need no introduction. Amazing price tag and colour selection. Love them so much. These are matte but not at all drying. Using a balm underneath with help lips stay more hydrated. The ones i have for the suggestion are:

1) Rose Bud- OMG its a beautiful rosy shade which is more towards coral side. Camera makes it appear more towards a little mauve. It will go with many skin tones. 

2) In the Flesh- Its a pinkish nude shade. Its a good nude for medium to darker skin tones. For lighter ones a pretty soft splash of mauve pink.

MUA Lipsticks:

1) Shade 11- Its a peachy nude colour. I have done a in depth review on these lipsticks. Check the link above (i.e. HERE).

Makeup Revolution Lipsticks:

Mind blowing price tag for such quality lipsticks i.e. $1 each. Formula is amazing. Application is very buttery. Wide range to choose from, ranging from nudes to funky. In short these have perfect shade selection for everyone.

1) Mystify- Its a soft petal pink. It has shine to it. Its no doubt creamy in application. Highly pigmented. It will go well with lighter skin tones more.

2) Treat- Its a soft brownish pink nude. Highly pigmented and smooth in application. It will compliment light to medium skin tones more.

Makeup Revolution- Lip Hugs:

Its has a wide variety to choose from. Amazing colour selection ranging from nudes,pinks, purples to deep reds. Highly affordable and amazing quality. Smooth and buttery texture. Good pigmentation. They're  moisturising and hydrating at the same time. I love their funky cute names a lot.

1) Insatiable-  Its a true pink shade. Love it so much. It will go with every skin tone. Good pigmentation.

2) We have come too far- Dusty brownish nude with hints of pink in it. LOVE this shade the most. Its my favourite. A shade which will compliment light to medium skin tones more. Best shade for daily use.

I Heart Makeup- Lip Geeks:

Oh my my the more i say the less it is. Packaging is amazing very girly, catchy and trendy. The lipsticks are of amazing quality. They're highly pigmented the darker shades in particular (review is coming up shortly). They're very smooth and buttery in texture. They tend to leave a beautiful tint on your lips when they wear off. They are very moisturising and hydrating for lips. The shades i have for summer essentials daytime specific are:

1) Just have Fun- Its not orange,pink or red!!! Its a blend of all three. It might appear differently on every skin tone. I am NC 20 so it appears as a blend of all three shades, for deeper skin tone or medium ones it more towards reddish pink. Application is smooth and colour payoff is amazing.

2) Live for Today- Its similar to Wet and Wild "IN THE FLESH" but a little lighter and glossy. Colour payoff is little bit towards sheer side but not completely sheer. 

3) Colour Overdose- Coral pink. It will compliment many skin tones. Its highly pigmented and moisturising at the same time.

Last but not the least these shades and brands are my selection for this summer. I tend to wear these a lot and mostly on daily basis. All the brands are highly affordable and amazing. I personally think corals,nudes,pinks and brownish pink go well in summers especially at the daytime as they add a splash of glow and brightens up your face in hot weather.
